Application of materials understanding to additive manufacture of new alloys and systems, to build Alloyed’s world-leading portfolio of processable materials.
Communication with customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and products, including reporting and presentation of complex technical content in a digestible manner.
Strong technical background with a degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy (or similar) (2:1 minimum)
Strong intuition for metallurgical mechanisms, applicable across a range of alloy systems.
Excellent problem-solving ability and capable of converting complex data into actions with practical solutions.
Adaptable, organised, and able to prioritise multiple workstreams
Motivation to undertake practical work when required to ensure timely delivery of results.
Knowledge or experience of one or more of the following industries: aerospace, automotive, orthopaedics or consumer electronics
Good familiarity with one or more engineering alloy systems, such as aluminium, magnesium, iron, nickel, titanium, copper, platinum, or lightweight high entropy alloys
Experience with high-level programming languages such as Python and MATLAB
Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing methods (casting, forging, etc.)
Knowledge and understanding of metal AM processes
Experience in materials modelling e.g. CALPHAD, DFT, atomistic
