Alloyed is currently designing a low cost microturbine system for jet propulsion applications. The system architecture is relatively basic, comprised of a single stage radial compressor, combustion system and a single stage axial turbine, with outer diameters ranging between 60-240mm considered. The objective of Alloyed’s development programme is to use additive manufacturing to consolidate the number of parts in the engine reduce production cost and enable high production rate. Alongside this we aim to increase performance compared to current state-of-the-art by leveraging more complex designs enabled by additive manufacture and through application of more thermally resistant materials.

Alloyed is seeking experienced assembly technicians to produce and build these microturbines. The role will involve all aspects of development, manufacturing, production and quality control. Future phases of the development project may involve scale-up to a larger facility; there is scope to expand the role to include site planning and the set-up of systems and processes for large production runs.

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient production of precision components and ensure the overall functionality of the CNC machinery.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for quality assurance. Alloyed is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our additive manufacturing company. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for the programming, setup, and operation of CNC machines to produce high-quality, high-precision parts for new product introduction (NPI).

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in CNC programming and operation, as well as a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and will be skilled with CAD to design and propose fixturing and component design that aid its manufacturability for high-precision CNC results.

Alloyed is looking for an experienced Computational Design Engineer with strong expertise in parametric and computational design to support our innovative product development team. You will be responsible for designing optimised structural and thermal components, tailored specifically for additive manufacturing processes, and driving solutions from concept generation through to detailed CAD designs and final production. Collaboration with simulation, manufacturing, and process engineers will be essential to ensure design feasibility and performance.

Your primary responsibilities will be to operate CMM (Renishaw) and blue light scanning (GOM) equipment to inspection high performance components. You will work within the inspection team to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of this process. Your attention to detail, and commitment to quality will be critical in producing high-quality components.

You will work closely with the engineering and operations teams, and report directly to the Metrology Manager in Abingdon where this role will be based. Training will be provided as required.

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer to support and advance our simulation-driven design activities, specifically targeting structural and thermal analysis of additive manufactured components. Your primary focus will include consumer electronics products, with particular emphasis on AR/VR systems and liquid cooling solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to validate simulation accuracy, optimise designs, and improve performance outcomes.
