Alloyed is a young venture-funded company of about 100 world-class metallurgists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers working across 3 offices in the UK, 1 in Japan, and 1 in the USA to build the future of advanced metal components. To do this, it uses proprietary software packages which combine advanced machine learning and physical modelling, as well as extensive experimental facilities, to invent better alloys and devise better ways to process them. We also 3D print metal components, operating a suite of platforms allowing us to be better and faster than anyone else.
At its premises in North Oxford, Alloyed is aiming to build the world’s fastest, smartest, and best-equipped laboratory for the rapid development of novel alloys.
Alloyed is seeking a motivated individual to join its energetic, growing team as a Materials Technician, where your main responsibility will be to produce, process, test and characterise novel alloys.
You will work closely with engineers and technicians, ensuring that the work is carried out according to schedule and that technical challenges are quickly tackled. The candidate will be asked to frequently interface with suppliers and subcontractors.
You will be based at Oxford Pioneer Park in North Oxford. We pay well – you will receive a highly competitive remuneration package, including salary and equity incentives. Training will be provided where required.
To apply submit a CV and a supporting statement by email to jobs@alloyed.com. The supporting statement should explain your motivations and how you meet the selection criteria for the role using examples of your skills and any experience. All documents should be uploaded as PDF files with your name and document type in the filename. Please provide details of two referees and indicate if we can contact them now.
This is a continuous recruitment effort. We will fill positions as excellent candidates present themselves so your early application is encouraged.
