Alloyed is a young venture-funded company of around 100 world-class metallurgists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers working across three offices in the UK and one in the US, building the future of advanced metal components. We use proprietary software packages which combine advanced machine learning and physical modelling, as well as extensive experimental facilities, to 3D print metal components better and faster than anyone else.

At our premises in Yarnton and Abingdon, near Oxford, we are aiming to build the world’s fastest, smartest, and best-equipped facility for the rapid development of additively manufactured parts for the electronics, aerospace and industrial sectors, and novel metal alloys for better performance.

• Development of component designs, optimising for functionality and manufacturability by Additive Manufacturing (AM)
• Application-specific optimisation of AM processing parameters
• Implementation of post-processing steps to enable manufacture of drop-in components
• Management of communication with customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and products
• Generation of build files using Alloyed's integrated AM software platform, which includes design of application-specific strategies for part orientation, nesting and support structures
• Analysis of AM hardware performance using experimental characterisation techniques

• Strong technical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (2:1 minimum)
• Excellent problem-solving ability and capability to convert complex data into actions with practical solutions
• Adaptable, organised, and able to prioritise multiple workstreams
• Willingness to get hands on with manufacturing processes

• Knowledge or experience of the aerospace, automotive and electronics industries
• A thesis in a relevant field
• Knowledge and understanding of metal AM processes
• Knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of traditional manufacturing methods
• Experience using CAD packages
