Alloyed is a young venturefunded company of around 200 worldclass metallurgists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers working across three sites in the UK and one in the US, building the future of advanced metal components. We use proprietary software packages which combine advanced machine learning and physical modelling, as well as extensive experimental facilities, to 3D print metal components better and faster than anyone else.

At our Oxfordshire premises we are aiming to build the world's fastest, smartest, and bestequipped facility for the rapid development of additively manufactured parts for the electronics, aerospace and industrial sectors, and novel metal alloys for better performance.

Alloyed is seeking a motivated, analytical and collaborative Technical Product Owner to take ownership of how the organisation uses its core ERP platform, Odoo, across production, HR, finance, CRM, supply chain, and wider operations.

This role is responsible for ensuring that the ERP system is configured, extended and adopted in a way that genuinely supports business processes endtoend. You will serve as the internal product owner for the ERP system, providing the highest level of functional expertise in the organisation. You will evaluate and approve proposed system changes, maintain the integrity of the platform, assess new functionalities released by Odoo, and help define the roadmap for enhancements based on business priorities and strategic needs.

You will report to the Head of IT and will work closely with the IT Manager and our Managed Service Provider. While the IT Manager owns daytoday technical operations and the vendor relationship, you will own the functional direction of the ERP system, ensuring that the system evolves in a sustainable, coherent, and businessaligned fashion.

This role is wellsuited to someone with 3+ years of experience as a business analyst or ERP functional consultant who is eager to take product ownership of a missioncritical system in a complex, highgrowth organisation.

Product Ownership & System Integrity

• Act as Product Owner for the ERP system, defining and maintaining its functional roadmap.
• Act as a primary point of contact for ERP implementation, working closely with partners and internal stakeholders.
• Own the configuration and testing of ERP modules.
• Design and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, logging and tracking issues through resolution.
• Create and maintain system documentation and user guides to support adoption across the business.
• Review and approve proposed configuration changes, ensuring they align with business processes and maintain system integrity.
• Evaluate new features and version updates from the ERP supplier, leading decision making regarding selection and effective deployment.
• Ensure the overall solution design remains coherent, scalable, compliant, and welldocumented.

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

• Work closely with stakeholders across production, HR, finance, commercial, and operations to understand requirements and document business processes.
• Map and analyse existing business processes (as-is) and design improved future-state workflows aligned to the capabilities of the ERP system.
• Translate business needs into structured change requests, user stories, or configuration specifications.
• Coordinate workshops, process reviews, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes or simplify workflows using the ERP system's capabilities.

Project management support

• Maintain project plans, RAID logs etc., and regularly report status to keep implementation on track.
• Conduct project planning and prioritisation in an Agile or hybrid project delivery environment.
• Coordinate with the IT Manager and MSP on technical implementation tasks, integrations, upgrades and incident resolution.
• Ensure that system changes respect data protection, cybersecurity, export control and audit requirements.
• Conduct periodic reviews of ERP supplier performance, module usage and licence requirements.

User Support, Training & Documentation

• Provide advanced functional support to key users and act as the escalation point for complex ERP issues.
• Develop and maintain internal training materials, process documentation and guidance notes.
• Work with the Knowledge & People function to ensure staff are appropriately trained in ERP workflows.
• Promote consistent adoption of best practices across teams.

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, ERP functional consulting, systems analysis, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems, or the ability to quickly develop deep expertise.
• Strong ability to map business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into system functionality.
• Confidence reviewing system changes and assessing downstream impacts.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Analytical mindset and a practical, collaborative approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous start-up environment, and motivated by the opportunity to create systems from the ground up.
• Basic understanding of finance processes (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and reporting).

• Experience acting as a product owner, superuser, or system steward for Odoo or another ERP.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, production planning, HR, or CRM workflows.
• Experience working with or alongside MSPs and/or software vendors.
• Awareness of compliance frameworks including cybersecurity, export control and data protection, including the handling of sensitive data.
